Elmo came to visit and play with us! Cole loves Elmo and whenever he hears the song come on the TV he crawls as fast as he can from the other room to sit in front of the TV. In the above pic I think he is still in shock staring at elmo.
I know the above pic is blurry, but I had to post it because it was his first initial reaction to elmo when elmo held him. (the settings on my camera were off...)
He kept looking up at elmo and smiling.....
Of course I have to post pics of the deco.....I made this banner for Cole....it wasn't too hard and it turned out cute....
I made these cupcake toppers in photoshop....had fun doing it....plus the cupcakes were red velvet with yummy martha stewart's cream cheese frosting recipe....delish...
Okay, I am not great at making cakes....and for the record it looked better before it got to the park. I had Ava hold it in the car and she pretty much squeezed the whole bottom of the cake....but no worries, Cole was just going to destroy it anyways...
I also made the banner around his high chair.....
My hubby thought he looked a little cheesy, but I did not care.....1 year old birthdays you can go all out....
Call me mother of the year....I wanted to get a quick pic with him and the lit candle and thought I had his hands covered...but right after this pic his other hand reached up and touched the flame....no worries, though, his cousin McKay grabbed his hand and he was fine.....
Ummm...not sure what to do....

Okay, maybe I should taste the cake instead of playing with it....
