She nailed it!!!

This is just a follow-up to my last post that Ava did such a great job singing in church yesterday. I think I was way more terribly nervous for her than she was...actually she wasn't nervous at all. She was calm as can be and just went up to the podium and gave us a big smile and while in silence Brec realizes Ava is standing there yells "Hi Ava!" She then started her song and her voice was so steady and powerful and she had a grin on her face the whole time! It was just perfect. We are so proud of her!

She has been practicing for a while now and is hopefully ready, can't wait!

Ava and all the presidents.....

So, I have been meaning to post this for a long time. Ava learned all 44 presidents of the United States in preschool this last year at 5 years old.....when she was learning she got stuck a few times and would look to me to help her, and I was like.....um mom doesn't even know! So, now I can say I pretty much know all 44 presidents with my daughters help!!!

Brec's goodnight conversation.....

Brec: I scared.

Me: Don't be scared, everyone goes to sleep at night....it is supposed to be dark.

Brec: Sun comes up?

Me: Yep, when the sun comes up it is morning time.

Brec: Cock-a-doodle-do.

Me: Yep....cock-a-doodle-do.

Brec: Thomas a train............thomas.

Brec: Tom and Jerry a Thomas a train......

Me: Yep, night night (while he is still chatting about thomas the train, etc.)

10 seconds go by...........

Brec: MOM.....COVERS ON.....MOM COVERS ON (getting louder and louder in panic)!

Me: You can put on your covers yourself.

Brec: I cold.

Me: Night night........

5 seconds later.....

Brec: Choo choo......

Brec is pretty darn cute and I never document any of his conversations. He is currently obsessed with Thomas the train and when he says his prayers that is always the first thing he says in his prayer....that he is thankful for "thomas a train".

Cole 6 months

My littlest buddy is 6 months! He is a little under weight.....in the 10th percentile, but normal on height. We are still trying on solids, but he still hates it. I want to get this guy chubby and it is not working. The doc says to keep trying everyday and that some babies have a strong gag reflex and are sensitive to textures. Please tell me I don't have a picky little eater!! I have also tried formula and he wants nothing to do with it. He is still exclusively breastfeeding and I feel like he is starving in the evening because that is when my milk supply is at it's lowest. I try to give him other alternatives and it isn't working. So, we will keep trying!

Just a few fun little things about my little buddy:

-He is sleeping through the night!
-He loves his paci and his minky lovies.
-He rolls a lot.
-He isn't quite sitting up by himself, but loves his bumbo.
-He likes to grab his feet and stick them in his mouth.
-When we hold him he doesn't like to hang on...he just opens his arms out and sort of just hangs there.....we have to give him extra support which isn't easy when trying to multi-task.
-He gets excited when he sees a glass of water or even crinkly paper.
-He likes to bite my chin (which I love because it is my way of thinking he is giving me loves).
-He loves toys and is curious about everything around him trying to grab whatever he can get.

I love my little guy and glad he is such an easy happy baby...if only we can get this feeding thing down......
