My little hair dresser

Ava decided to cut her hair all by herself the other day! Right when I saw it I started freaking out a little because I didn't know how much damage was done and so it made her cry and then I got over it quickly and pulled out the camera to grab a few pics of this historic event that will NEVER happen again, I hope. I know it could be worse. She just cut her bangs and then when I was assessing the damage and combing her hair, globs of hair came out in her brush, and I discovered she had cut a bunch by her ear too. Oh well, it doesn't look too bad and we are able to part it over on the side to help cover. She is so adorable for smiling in these pics after I just got mad at her. Look at her sad little green eyes! Love her.......

Ava's dance recital

Ava had a dance recital and she did such a good job! My hubby was in charge of recording the event and he accidentally hit pause when he was supposed to record and by the time he figured it out the recital was over! I was so sad! I hopefully can get a video of it from someone else that was there! Anyways, the parents at this little event went all out and had flowers and teddy bears and other items waiting for their girls when they got done.......we had nothing! What losers of parents we are! We decided to grab ice cream afterwards to celebrate and then Ava's grandma dropped by with some diva sunglasses so all turned out. I hope I get this video because she was the only one singing the whole song while dancing. I definitely need to get her in a singing group. Anybody know of one in AZ?

Swimming

Brec learned how to use floaties. He did so great floating by himself. This summer will be great!

So I had to post some swimming pics when family was in town! We played in the water all day drinking fresh lemonade! This is my favorite thing to do! This last pic of Brec is so funny to me because whenever he goes swimming he gets this huge belly. I think he accidentally drinks so much water that his stomach expands and he has this huge beer belly.

A day at the farm

We went to Rockin' R Ranch for Ava's preschool a few weeks ago and had so much fun! Some of her best friends are in the same preschool but go at a different time, but it was all combined today so she was able to hang out with her buds! I took a billion pics of each activity she did, but I think that would bore you all too much so I just picked a few. They had so much fun!

Easter weekend of fun!

First adventure: Saturday we went to the Bass Pro shop where they had easter activities, the easter bunny, and an easter egg hunt.......

Saturday evening: We went to Amazing Jake's with our fun extended family in town for the holiday's!

Ava with her cousin's......she was a little scared on this ride so Kassidy her cousin held her hand....too cute. Afterwards she told Kassidy that it made her tummy feel happy!

Easter Sunday: So, I got a little obsessive with Ava's dress and of course made a bow for her hair to match, and in addition I added bows to her shoes. Unfortunately, after a long day hangin' with cousins, eating, and an easter egg hunt, Ava's dress got torn and is no longer wearable.......good thing I can just make more!!!







Finally: The drug......Baby Einsten's......if you don't have it already for your kid you are missing out.....the best thing made on earth......


All in all our easter turned out great......Brec seemed sick all day, but had no fever. He didn't want to eat all day and only wanted to be held and was really drowsy. Not his usual self. Ava took a late afternoon nap and when she woke up she had a sore throat and a fever. Hopefully their little sickness's pass and we can have a fun week with our cousin's in town to play! pillowcase dress

So this was my newest project! My MIL gave me a few vintage pillowcases so I decided to try it out and make a pillowcase dress. It was so fun to make and is so adorable on......I think I will have Ava wear it on easter and make her a cute bow for her hair to match. Brec will be wearing blue as well so they will be matching....can't wait to take pics! Anyways, I can't wait to make more for the summer since it is so hot here and they are so easy to just throw on and are still so cute......can't wait!

Yummy citrus!

We went over to my MIL's house and they have a lemon tree as well as a few other citrus trees and we were able to take home a bunch of lemons and pink grapefruit! Ava was really excited to make lemonade out of all these lemons that we got. Can I just tell you how good fresh lemonade is? I mean I have had it at like Chic-Fil-A and other places, but real fresh, just juiced with sugar and water added is like nothing other! Seriously so good! We froze a bunch of lemon juice so now I can make fresh lemonade whenever I want! Gotta love Arizona and all the citrus around us!
