Pumpkin Patch!

We went to mother nature's farm and the kids were able to pick and decorate a pumpkin, go on a hay ride, pet some animals, and run and get dirty! They loved it! I love this time of year!

And finally she is happy to be reunited with me after a long bout of crying (look at her red eyes) and saying she just wanted to be with me. I guess she still is my little girl!

So this was mine and Ava's conversation on the way to dance today...

Ava- "Mom, do you know rock obama?"

Me- "Yes, how do you know him?"

Ava- "From T.V." "He's handsome." "Where does he live?"

Me- "Too far, we probably will never meet him."

Ava- "Let's fly on an airplane, he's handsome"


Okay, first of all, I am not a Barack Obama supporter, but I guess from what she has seen on T.V. she must think he is handsome! Funny girl!

I guess I should also share after I picked her up from preschool that she said two of the kids at school want to kiss each other, and then I asked her if she wanted to kiss anyone and she said she would kiss Brody when he is a Prince. I said that is a good plan to wait until he is really big like Mommy and Daddy.

Oh I am scared that she is already getting info at PRESCHOOL that two of the kids want to kiss! WHAT? I hope she doesn't get any ideas, and that boys have "cooties" for a long time!

Ward Fall Party!

Ava's favorite part of the night was all the candy and of course throwing a big wet sponge at her daddy's face. Yep, he loved having dirty water dripping down his face as you can see with his big cheese ball face just after it happened!

Ava's prayer

"Please turn me into a mermaid," "I would really love to be a mermaid." "The end"

I told Ava to go say her prayers and secretly listened and that is what I heard! We just watched the new Ariel movie and she was so excited about it! She has been wanting it forever so we finally got it for her. Anyways, I really do normally go in and help her with her prayers and she normally does not end it with "the end", but this particular time I guess she got sidetracked and was so intent on asking to become a mermaid!

FALL

Lets just say it is brrrr here in AZ with 71 degree weather! I think I truly would now die in the freezing Utah weather if I lived there! Seriously, though, Ava told Brec today, "We can't play outside because it is too cold!" I never told her that and I think it is actually perfect weather to play in (maybe slightly warmer would be nice, since I really do think 71 feels too cold!) I know, I know, you Utah people think I'm crazy. I just haven't busted out all my long sleeved clothes yet since last week we were in the high 90's! I am excited for the fall weather and this week is getting me in the mood for all the fun holidays to follow! I can't wait! (as for you Utah people, good luck with the FREEZING weather, and yes I like to rub it in because it makes me feel better since I do truly miss Utah!)

Birthday fun!

Ava turned 4 years old!

Ava first celebrated her birthday at pre-school. We brought cupcakes to share and she got a special birthday hat when she came home!

Yep you guessed it! We went to Chuck E. Cheese's on Saturday. She chose it and was so excited! She had so much fun with all her friends!

Finally, on Sunday it was her actual birthday and she was excited to be four! We had MORE cupcakes with family, and this final picture is of her sitting on her throne! Happy Birthday AVA!

End of Summer Celebration!

Freestone Park was having an end of summer celebration this last weekend and we had to join in the festivities! They had a lot of fun bouncy things for the kids, face painting, good fun food, and fireworks! Brec was a little scared for these fireworks for some reason and was gripping onto my arms so tight! I loved IT!
